Home buyers involved in a relocation to Helena, Montana often want both a great deal and to find the perfect new home. Sometimes it is not practical. The most important factor for most home buyers moving their families from out of town is to find a home that has all the features they need, in a good Helena real estate neighborhood and to not pay more than fair market value for the home. However, when finding a good deal is more important that finding the most suitable home, home buyers need to make arrangements for temporary accommodation. Because finding a great deal AND a home suitable for your family in a short amount of time is nearly impossible. I’ve seen many families over the years live in uncomfortable temporary housing because of the desire to get a steal. Low-ball offers tend to sour negotiation proceedings and rarely end in the buyer getting a good deal. However, once you have found a suitable home for your family, you should obviously try to get the best possible deal in that situation.

Your first step is to request a FREE “Relocation to Helena Montana” relocation package (click on link above). The town was established on October 30, 1864, following the discovery of gold along Last Chance Creek by the "Four Georgians". Helena's main street is named Last Chance Gulch and follows the winding path of the original creek through the historic downtown district. The town was originally named "Crabtown", after John Crab, one of the "Four Georgians". As other miners arrived and the town expanded it was decided to change the name. After many suggestions, John Sommerville suggested the name of his home town, Saint Helena, Minnesota, but the pronunciation (Hel-E-na) did not suit the miners, who preferred HELL-en-a. Dropping "Saint" from the name as unnecessary, the new name Helena was adopted (defeating the name "Tomah" by only two votes). -- Source: Wikipedia.com
